Aug 4, 2015 · Hello, im about to buy a new Router and want to take either the R7000 or the R7500. The price isn't really that problem, the R7500 is only about 20€ more expensive. Important is the stability and range. The R7000 is more stable than the R7500. There are a bunch of bad reviews about the R7500 on Amazon (.de) and I don't know which to buy. I have two Netgear R7000. I wanted to see if I could have set one R7000 as base unit ant the other R7000 as a repeater. I did it without conneecting to internet. It worked fine, but discovered seting as repeter is no security.
