If one could only visit Big Sur and spend one night there, this Inn would be first and foremost my only choice. The beautiful rooms are all varied and should be seen, if possible, in order to enjoy what this landmark has to offer to its guests. We have stayed at Deetjen’s twice and it’s absolutely our favourite place. The cabins are quaint and charming, the scenery is tranquil. We can’t say enough good things about the Big Sur Inn. We found it accidentally 11 years ago. WHAT A FIND! The restaurant is Michelin class! Grandpa’s room is delightful and quaint.
